SKI AREA EXPANSION INCLUDES:

Magic Carpet Lift

• A 450 foot magic carpet lift with cover will service the tubing center, zip lines, and mountain Bike Park.

Lift 1A

• The current lift will be replaced next summer with a fixed quad lift and will be available next ski season.

Chair III Replaced

• We intend to replace Chair III with two 600 foot covered Magic Carpet lifts.  This will allow for better utilization of teaching terrain and will more that double our uphill capacity to 1500 persons per hour.
• This is scheduled to be completed by next ski season.

Jr. Ski & Ride Building

• We will double the size of the current building to accommodate the increased demand for the program.
• This expansion will be completed by next ski season.

Connector Building

• Construction will start next spring on a 2 story building that will connect the Katalima and Taverna building.
• The first floor will have additional rest rooms, locker space, ticketing, and potentially babysitting.
• The second floor will feature Conference space to accommodate up to 400 people.
• The current Orion's kitchen will be expanded to provide additional capacity.
• When the second floor is not being used it will serve as a Cascades Club Members room that they can use during the ski season with food service available.
• Along with this expansion we will enclose the North Side of the Katalima much like what was done at Orion's.  This expanded space will double the existing picnic area but can be used as trade show space during conferences.
• Air conditioning will be added to the Taverna to provide additional meeting space.
• We also intend to repaint the outside of the Katalima and Taverna to provide a new fresh look to our base facilities.
