The hiking trails are open for your enjoyment. When the park is closed, you may park outside of the gate and walk in. You must sign in; the book is located in the Pavilion. Trails close at dusk.

For the comfort and safety of our guests and wildlife, dogs are not permitted on Park premises. Please take out what you bring in.

June 25 through Labor Day: Park & Beach open 7 days a week
Park Open: 10:00 am - 8:00 pm
Beach Open: 11:00 am - 7:00 pm

Boating, fishing, hiking, picnic areas, in-line skate pad and volleyball court are available.

Park Fee includes fishing, swimming, and use of hiking trails, picnic areas, in-line skate pad and volleyball court.

 

Boat Rental

$6.00 per hour for Canoe, Rowboat, or Paddle boat. (Must be 16 years old or accompanied by an adult to rent boats. No personal flotation devices allowed.)

 

Fishing

You can "catch and keep!"
Please notify the Park Staff of your catch for restocking purposes.
Anyone 16 yrs. and older fishing is required to have a NY state fishing license.

Pole rental $5.00 per 4 hours
Bait (worms) $4.00 per dozen

Pavilion Info

Plan your next party or event at Hope Lake in our weather protected pavilion! Group reservations required.

Pavilion Fees Deposit

Whole Pavilion:

$185 per 4 hours, $265 per 6 hours, $350 per 8 hours

A 50% plus $40 clean-up deposit is required in advance to hold your reservation. (The $40 clean-up fee will be refunded if no clean-up is necessary and your group recycles.)

 

 

Maximum capacity may not exceed 160 people.
(Rates do NOT include park fees.)

Daily Passes

$3.50 per person per day
Non-resident children under the age of two are free
Town Residents Lodge & Water park Guests
Free admission to the Park with Town photo identification.  Town residents can get their photo identification (passes) by visiting the Virgil Town Hall during normal business hours.  A fee of $1.00 will be charged by the Town of Virgil for producing identification passes. Free admission to the Park. The RFID bracelet provided by the Hotel upon check-in, will be used as the guest's identification.

Additional park services are extra (i.e., Pavilion Rental, Boat Rental, Fishing Pole Rental and Bait).

 

Season Passes

$35.00 per person (May - September 6).
Maximum of $175 per family.

Check-in must be done at the Main Gate or the First Aid Room in which an armband will be received on each visit.

Note: Passes can be purchased at the Virgil Town Hall. All Season Pass fees collected will be given to Hope Lake Recreational Services, LLC on the first day of each week. Passes can also be purchased at the Park.  A list will be given to the Town Clerk at the Town Hall to account for the person(s) who have paid at the Park and need to get their picture taken.
