Course Description:
Downhill Skiing and Snowboarding Courses for PE credit
Greek Peak Mountain Resort offers package deals for the beginner
skier and boarder all the way to students with expert ability.
You'll have fun while learning or improving . . . and get P.E.
credit at the same time. The course runs for six (6) consecutive
weeks on Monday evening starting 1/25/10. It is important that your
schedule permits attendance on this night throughout the
season.

N.B. The lift tickets issued to course participants are
limited to the 4 hr period from 5:00 - 9:00pm on
Mondays.
Course Payment: The course will be invoiced to your
college account.
Student Responsibility: All students who sign up
for this course are responsible for checking their University
e-mail & Blackboards for messages. Communications like class
cancellations will be posted here. Please check for your messages
the day before and the day of your class.
When is the program: The course runs
for six (6) consecutive weeks on Monday evenings beginning January
25, 2010. It is important that your schedule permits attendance on
this night throughout the season.
Transportation: The bus will leave
promptly at 4:15 pm from the Phillips Hall. Please be on time. The
transportation is only for students who have paid the bus fee at
the time of course registration.
Lessons: When you arrive at Greek
Peak, you must go to the second floor of the main building and
check in with a college representative who will take attendance and
give out lift tickets and a rental vouchers if needed.
The lesson times are as follows:
First Time/Never Ever Lessons are at
5:30 p.m. @ the Lesson Meeting Spot located next to the Alpha Slope
(beginner's chair). Please be there by 5:20.
Experienced Skiers/Riders Lessons are at
7:00 p.m. @ the Lesson Meeting Spot located next to the Alpha Slope
(beginner's chair). Please be there by 6:50.
Clothing: Be sure to dress warmly.
Outer clothing should be windproof and snow shedding. It is better
to over dress and shed additional layers than to lack the
appropriate clothing.
Attendance Policy:
When you arrive at Greek Peak, attendance will be taken. Failure to
sign in at Katalima will result in you being marked absent from
your lessons, which WILL AFFECT YOUR GRADE.
Make-Up Policy & Lesson Schedule:
Students are allowed one (1) missed lesson. Attendance of FIVE (5) lessons is REQUIRED to RECEIVE COLLEGE CREDIT. A lesson may be made up by attending any of the following Greek Peak College Credit Lessons:
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday
Never Evers 5:30 pm; Intermediates/ Advanced 7:00
pm
Fridays and Saturdays
Never Evers - 2:30 pm and 5:30 pm;
Intermediates/Advanced 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm
Sundays
Never Evers 1:30 pm and 7:00 pm; Intermediates/Advanced
4:00 pm and 7:00 pm
* There is NO TRANSPORTATION provided for make up lessons.
** A Lesson may be made up in advance of missing a scheduled
lesson.
MAKE UP PROCEDURE
The following make up procedure must be used for
all Make Up lessons:
1) Email george@greekpeak.net to
inform him of your intention to make up a lesson. Give your name,
college, student ID and the day and time of your scheduled missed
lesson and the make up lesson that you plan to attend.
2) Go to the Greek Peak ticket window, state your intent to perform
a make up lesson and present your College ID. You will be given a
Lift Ticket, Rental Pass (if needed) and a make up card.
3) Fill out the make up card with name, college and college ID and
go to the regular lesson meeting place.
4) Have your instructor sign your make up card and return it to
you.
5) Enjoy your lesson and RETURN your MAKE UP CARD to the TICKET
WINDOW before you leave Greek Peak.
Refund Policy: All rebates will be
issued in the form of tickets for lifts or rentals for the dollar
equivalent of the unused services less a $5.00 processing fee.
Transportation fees cannot be refunded. All requests for refunds
must be made by March 1, 2010 in writing to:
