Staff Accountant / Home Owners Association Manager

– Full Time or Part Time, based on candidates needs.
– Pay range is $18-$23 per hour.

Job Title:                 Staff Accountant/HOA Manager
Reports To:             CFO/Controller/Accounting Manager

Summary: This position will be a split position. This person will support the overall accounting operations as well as manage all of the Home Owners Associations.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Include the following, other duties may be assigned.

1. All accounting and administrative function for 4 Homeowner associations.
2. Act as liaison between Greek Peak and HOAs.
3. Lead monthly and annual homeowner meetings.
4. Prepare monthly financial statements for HOAs.
5. Assist with month end closing process.
6. Work with Controller to insure all balance sheet accounts are reconciled.
7. Maintains proper filing for recordkeeping, billing and bookkeeping both paper and electronic.
8. Other accounting functions as assigned.

Education/Experience:
Two to four years of college; or 2 years accounting related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong organizational skills, proficient in Microsoft Excel spreadsheets.

Language Ability:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Math Ability:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
