Summary: 
Come work where you play throughout the year. Greek Peak Mountain Resort is currently looking for Full-time exempt Staff Accountant. This position will report directly to the Director of Accounting Manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
(Other duties may be assigned.)

  1. Compile financial information to prepare daily journal entries to the general ledger.
  2. Assist in the preparation of financial reports, such as profit and loss statements, balance sheets, daily cash reports and cost accounting reports.
  3. Monitor various system data for accuracy and completeness.
  4. Verifies appropriate approvals and supporting documentation for Company disbursements; complies with requirements for government reporting, fiscal accounting, and purchasing obligations; identifies and ensures timely resolution of problems; reviews system reports and coordinates follow-up.
  5. Retain files and records to support audits, departmental charges, and governmental reports.
  6. Plans and schedules payables print cycles to meet deadlines for daily, weekly, monthly, and fiscal year activities (including matching purchase orders and managing vendor discounts); processes requests for drafts and wire transfers; handles processing and accounting for void checks.
  7. Serves as the contact with departments, vendors, and other accounting staff to provide accurate and timely disbursement processing; interprets and enforces Company Accounting Policies and Procedures in response to inquiries from vendors and department personnel.
  8. Analyzes general ledger postings and prepares journal entries as needed.
  9. Identify and implement improvements, including automated modifications and associated testing and revised procedures and controls as needed; provides customer service and quality assurance.
  10. Work with department heads to investigate any reporting discrepancies.
  11. Perform general account analysis and reconciliations. May cover cash management or assist during peak periods.

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a minimum of two years direct related experience or Associates Degree in Business Administration with six years of related experience.
  2. Must have strong experience with Microsoft Office and proficient in Excel; Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains experience a plus.
  3. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  4. Ability to sit for long periods of times, this position typically sits for 6 to 8 hours a day.
  5. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States at this time we do not offer H1B sponsorship.
