Gem mining gives kids and families a fun way to slow down, explore, and enjoy a small hands-on activity together. Guests choose a mining bag, pour it into a screen tray, and rinse it through the flowing water to reveal what is hidden inside.

It is easy to do, fun to watch, and every guest gets to keep the treasures they uncover.

How Gem Mining Works

1. Choose Your Mining Bag

Pick from available mining rough options. Each bag includes a mix of materials to sift through and discover.

2. Rinse It in the Sluice

Pour your mining rough into a screen tray and use the flowing water to wash away the sand.

3. Find Your Treasures

As the sand rinses away, gemstones, fossils, shells, or other small treasures may appear.

4. Take Them Home

Your discoveries are yours to keep, making gem mining a fun activity and a simple souvenir from your visit.
